Description
Technical Parameters

NAVI Titanium's aeration stone brewing is a sintered stainless diffusion element that injects oxygen or carbon dioxide into wort and finished beer as a dense cloud of fine bubbles, supporting healthy yeast growth and repeatable carbonation. Drawing on 40+ brewing-process engineers and 160+ brewery projects delivered since 2008, NAVI Titanium ships stones to craft, regional and macro brewers worldwide. Breweries gain even faster turnover, tighter batch consistency and stones that withstand caustic CIP, hot rinses and years of cycling.

Solution of NAVI Titanium

NAVI Titanium's aeration stone for brewing is made from sintered porous metal via a proven powder sintering process. It delivers high-performance porous metal substrates for precision filtration, electrochemistry, biomedicine, and high-temperature fluid separation, with acid/alkali corrosion resistance and biocompatibility. Its uniformly distributed, controllable pore structure supports in-situ regeneration, ensuring long-term stable operation under harsh, corrosive, high-temperature, and high-pressure conditions. Customized filtration, air permeability, and flow solutions are available. See the table below for detailed specifications.

Aeration stones ship as 1/2" to 2" discs, half-inch to 1-1/2" cylinders, inline cartridges and cone-tipped sticks, terminated in NPT, BSP, tri-clamp or welded ferrule ends. NAVI Titanium sizes stones to a brewer's drawing so they sit flush inside fermenters, brite tanks and Cornelius kegs without dead pockets, with mounting plates, retractable housings or caps as required.

Application

Brewing rewards precisely delivered gas. For wort aeration, NAVI Titanium bonded-metal stone lifts dissolved oxygen above 8 ppm in a single pass. For carbonation, the same element dissolves target CO2 volumes quickly without foam, jetting or protein shear. Both brewing applications share uniform pore size, repeatable batch-to-batch results, caustic- and steam-proof construction and faster tank turns that keep production on schedule.

Wort Aeration Before Pitching Yeast

Clean yeast growth starts with dissolved oxygen at pitch. A sparging lance that fires a few fat plumes wastes oxygen on the surface where it never reaches yeast, leaving cell-to-cell readings inconsistent. NAVI Titanium aeration stone brewing breaks the same oxygen into a curtain of fine, uniform bubbles that linger through the wort, lifting dissolved oxygen above eight parts per million in a single pass without foaming over the kettle rim. Uniform pore size means the same delivery from first pitch to last, so attenuation curves and diacetyl rests behave identically batch after batch.

Because the element is all metal, it tolerates hot knock-out temperatures, hot caustic cleaning between turns and steam sanitization on demand. After hot-side fouling, a simple acid rinse restores flow within minutes, returning the stone to service long before a ceramic dome would be cool enough to handle. Pitch-day confidence comes from repeatable numbers, not lucky bubbles.

Carbonation in the Brite Tank

Carbonation time eats fermenter space and brewery cash. CO2 injection through a dip tube is fast, but it dumps unabsorbed gas, builds foam and leaves beer at the bottom of the brite tank under-carbonated for another day. NAVI Titanium bonded-metal carbonation stone releases the same CO2 as a fine, uniform bubble cloud that drifts slowly upward, maximizing gas-liquid contact time and dissolving target volumes in a fraction of the time a dip tube needs.

Uniform pore size keeps bubbles consistent from keg one to keg fifty, so every tank reaches the same set point without manual top-up and head retention is preserved because the gentle curtain does not shear proteins the way jets do. The same element survives brewery caustic and peracetic acid cycle, comes back from hot-side sanitization and fits tri-clamp ports. Faster tank turns, predictable carbonation numbers and a quiet brite tank are not optional in a busy schedule.

Manufacturing Process

NAVI Titanium's aeration stone for brewing is manufactured through a rigorously controlled metal powder sintering process. High-purity metal powder is precisely graded and uniformly mixed to ensure consistent pore structure and material composition. The prepared powder is then loaded into molds and compacted under controlled pressure to form a green body with uniform density. The compacted body is sintered in a high-temperature vacuum or protective atmosphere furnace, where metal particles bond metallurgically, forming a rigid, three-dimensional porous network with controllable porosity and pore size. After sintering, the product undergoes precision machining to meet dimensional tolerances, followed by cleaning, ultrasonic degreasing, and drying. Each batch is inspected for pore distribution, permeability, mechanical strength, and corrosion resistance before final packaging. This proven process ensures uniform pore structure, excellent acid and alkali corrosion resistance, biocompatibility, and reliable long-term performance under harsh, high-temperature, and high-pressure conditions.

Packaging, Documents and Logistics at NAVI Titanium

Every stone leaves the Baoji workshop in a sealed food-grade bag inside a vacuum pouch, then boxed in a foam-lined carton sized to the order rather than overpacked. Aeration stone brewing are individually labelled with batch code, alloy, pore rating and connection, and the bag is taped closed so any tampering shows before opening.

Crates use ISPM-15 compliant plywood or fumigation-free corrugated cardboard; nothing arrives smelling of methyl bromide or carrying bark beetles into a brewery receiving area. For brewery orders a tamper-evident outer sleeve is added on request and lots are separated by batch so older stock moves first.

Cartons are bar-coded against the packing list, so receiving teams scan, verify and put stones into rotation within minutes of arrival. The same packing logic travels with samples: each test stone ships in a labelled box with a fresh copy of the conformity declaration, ready to drop straight into a brew day.

Paperwork travels with the stones, not behind them. Each NAVI Titanium shipment carries a commercial invoice and packing list checked twice before pickup, plus an EN 10204 3.1 material certificate tracing each batch to its melt, and a certificate of analysis recording bubble-point test, air permeability and dimensional report against the drawing.

For brewery buyers, food-contact statements are added on request: FDA 21 CFR for North America, EU 1935/2004 for European breweries, and 3-A sanitary standards where the receiving country expects them. Country-of-origin marking, correct HS classification are confirmed twice before container sealing; a wrong code can hold a shipment at customs for weeks.

Pricing is offered under EXW, FOB, CIF and DAP, and for repeat buyers we offer DDP into major markets. Sample shipments travel by courier within days, while production volumes move by sea, air or China-Europe rail. Records of every certificate are easily archived on our side for audits.

Logistics is treated as a quality step at NAVI Titanium. Container loading is photographed and shared with the buyer, which makes insurance claims easy and gives the receiving team a visual reference before crates are opened.

Aeration stone brewing ship with anti-vibration inserts on ocean voyages and corner protectors when consignments break bulk at ports. The shipping desk chooses sea, air or China-Europe rail to fit delivery window and budget; a missed date is investigated, not blamed on weather. Spare stones can be consolidated into a recurring order, so a maintenance manager needing one stone for a turn-around does not pay a minimum-order quantity.

After delivery, the account manager follows up by email or video to confirm arrival condition, helping the customer scan, verify and install within minutes. Since 2008, more than 160 delivered projects have run this rhythm, with stones that arrive on schedule, fit first time and perform as quoted.

FAQ

As a small craft brewery - will aerating with a stone really change our beer, and is the extra cost worth it?

+

-

For most small breweries the improvement is immediate: lower diacetyl, faster start of fermentation and more uniform attenuation from batch to batch, because dissolved oxygen at pitch reaches every cell instead of only the top quarter of the wort. The stone pays back in fewer stuck fermentations, lower yeast loads and shorter lag time, and one stone serves thousands of brews before replacement.

How long does an aeration stone last, and how will we know when to replace it?

+

-

In a typical craft brewery running daily CIP and routine visual checks, an aeration stone commonly serves three to five years before replacement; brite-tank carbonation stones often pass five years because service is gentler. Replacement is never sudden: watch differential pressure at constant gas flow and the bubble curtain through a sight glass. When cleaning no longer pulls the pressure back down, or the bubble curtain shows a single coarse plume, that is the signal to swap.

Before we order production, can we test a sample?

+

-

Yes, sampling is encouraged and usually happens before any purchase order. Send your tank geometry, target gas flow and connection, and our engineers return a free sizing recommendation; a standard stone then ships by courier within days, ready to drop into your kettle or brite tank for testing. Production orders follow a fixed sequence - drawing approval, tooling, first article and batch - with delivery dates confirmed in writing and progress reported weekly.

How fast can we get stones after that?

+

-

Because all sintering, welding and finishing happen in-house at the 49,000-square-meter Baoji plant, capacity flexes between product families whenever an urgent repeat order arrives. Sea, air or China-Europe rail shipment is arranged under EXW, FOB, CIF or DAP terms to your delivery window.

Between brews we run caustic and peracetic cycles. Will those damage the stone?

+

-

No, those are exactly the chemistries the stone is built for. 316L construction tolerates routine caustic at 70 °C and peracetic acid at ambient, with no softening, no cracking and no leaching into the wort or beer. What the stone cannot survive is hydrochloric acid, which pits stainless steel and should be replaced in any brewery CIP cycle with a phosphoric or nitric alternative.
