Cathodic protection is a proven corrosion-control technology used to extend the service life of buried pipelines, storage tanks, steel structures, and other metal facilities. In impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) systems, an external current is applied to the protected structure to reduce electrochemical corrosion. NAVI Titanium supplies MMO titanium anodes featuring a titanium substrate and mixed metal oxide (MMO) coating. They offer stable electrochemical performance, excellent corrosion resistance, low anode consumption, and long service life, making them suitable for demanding long-term cathodic protection applications. Our product range includes MMO mesh, tubular, wire, strip, linear, and deep-well anodes. Anode dimensions, coating specifications, cable configuration, and assembly design can be customized according to the protection area, soil conditions, required current output, installation method, and target service life.
Main Cathodic Protection Anode Products
MMO mesh anodes are manufactured by welding MMO-coated titanium strips or anode elements with titanium connecting components to form a mesh structure. The distributed design provides relatively uniform current output across the protected area, helping reduce the risk of localized under-protection or excessive current concentration.
MMO mesh anodes are particularly suitable for external cathodic protection of storage tank bottoms, where a large and relatively uniform protection area needs to be covered. Their low anode consumption and long operating life make them a practical solution for new tank construction as well as cathodic protection upgrades.
The mesh configuration can also be engineered according to the tank diameter, protection area, required current, and installation layout.

2. MMO Tubular Anode

MMO tubular anodes consist of a titanium substrate with an MMO coating designed for electrochemical service. Their tubular structure provides good mechanical strength and rigidity, making them suitable for buried or deep-well installation where mechanical stability is important.
Individual tubular anodes can be used independently or assembled into an anode string. They are commonly used in deep-well anode groundbeds, buried pipeline cathodic protection systems, industrial facilities, and other ICCP applications. The anode length, diameter, coating specification, cable connection, and assembly configuration can be adjusted according to the required current output and installation conditions.
MMO wire anodes combine a titanium wire substrate with an MMO coating. Their small diameter and flexibility make them easy to bend, route, and install around irregular structures or in areas with limited installation space.
Compared with rigid anode structures, wire anodes can follow curved or irregular surfaces more easily while providing distributed current release. They are suitable for localized protection of storage tank bottoms, irregular steel components, confined spaces, and supplementary cathodic protection applications. Their lightweight construction also simplifies transportation and on-site handling.

4. Titanium Anode Strip / Conductive Titanium Strip

Titanium anode strips are titanium-based strip products coated with an MMO layer. Depending on the system design, they can function as active anode elements or be integrated into a larger mesh anode assembly.
The strip structure provides good flexibility and convenient welding with titanium connectors. It is particularly useful where a distributed anode layout is required, such as storage tank bottom protection and custom mesh anode systems.
Strip dimensions, coating specifications, connection points, and assembly configuration can be customized according to project drawings.
MMO/Ti linear anodes are continuous anode systems designed for long-distance installation. The linear configuration allows the anode to be laid along the protected structure, providing distributed current over an extended distance.
They are well suited to long-distance buried oil and gas pipelines, water pipelines, and other linear underground structures where conventional point anodes may result in uneven current distribution. The installation length and anode configuration can be designed according to pipeline length, coating condition, soil resistivity, required protection current, and spacing requirements.

6. Deep-Well Anode Assembly

Deep-well anode systems are assembled from multiple MMO tubular anodes installed at considerable depth within a dedicated groundbed. This configuration can provide a large current-dispersion area while reducing the space required at ground level.
Deep-well systems are especially suitable for high-resistivity soil, congested industrial sites, long-distance pipelines, plant-wide pipeline networks, and locations where surface installation space is limited.
The number and arrangement of tubular anodes can be selected according to required output current, soil conditions, design life, and groundbed configuration.
